The Caravan of the ten words

The Caravan of the ten words wishes to put into light the cultural richness and diversity through the variety of meanings and connotations that every individual puts behind the words. By the pretext of ten words, the purpose is to “ go fishing for the meaning of the words further than their own definition” to reveal the richness and diversity that every human being carries in his self. The Caravan of the ten words proposes to show how much the French language is enriched of as many ways of thinking, seeing, expressing oneself as persons who speak it through the world.

Created in 2003 by the Theâtre des Asphodèles ( Lyon France ) the Caravan of the ten words is a project of cultural, artistic and educative action based on the sharing of a language, the French language and the promotion of the diversity of expressions. The project was coordinated since 2007 by the association Caravan of the ten words and is surrounded by a committee of orientation gathering its main supervision. An appeal to project is launched every year. Any cultural, artistic or social of local right structure can offer a project. The committee of orientation labels the projects on the basis of the application files they have received. The team of the Forum of Caravans is at the partnersʼ disposal to accompany them in their steps.
